The garage walls are framed differently than the other walls in the house. The studs for the garage walls are usually longer than the wall on the house because they are framed directly on top of the foundation walls. Because of these two reasons the garage walls are usually left until the main part of the house is framed before being built. Once the plate height of the main floor is determined then the garage walls can be framed to the same height, then the garage roof trusses, or floor joists for a second floor, will sit at the same elevation as the house roof trusses.
Cut The Studs: The studs need to be cut to length because the exact length cannot be known until the house is framed.
