3x3x9 Wood Compost Bin Plans Include The Following:
- Materials List: Use the included materials list to get pricing and to simplify the ordering of materials.
- Wood Construction: The wood specified is redwood or cedar because of their natural resistance to rotting but other woods may be used.
- Walls Framing: 2x4 and 2x6 boards attached to 4x4 posts.
- Wall Height: The top of the bin walls is 3' 2 1/2".
- 3 Separate Bins: Three bins allow you to rotate the materials as well as keep different pile composting at different stages of decomposition.
- Doors: The doors are 1'6" tall which allows you to shovel off the bottom of the compost piles and rotate the material to the top. You can also use the doors to remove the material once it is fully composted.
- Door Latches: The simple door lock design uses pipes to hold the doors in place this is much simpler than using hinges and latches.
