The 4x8 Firewood shed plans include:
Wood Storage - A cord of fire wood is 4'x4'x8' which is 128 cubic feet. The 4x8 firewood shed stacks exactly one cord of wood, plus a little more if you stack it high.
Ventilation - An important part of seasoning wood is allowing air to flow around it. With spaces in the floor and an open front you will have plenty of ventilation and easy acess to all your firewood.
Inexpensive To Build - The simple firewood shed plans are for a firewood shed that is about half the price and easier to build than our regular 4x8 firewood shed plans
4x8 Firewood Shed Views
4x8 Wood Shed Shed Plans Include The Following:
Foundation: Wood skid
Floor: The 2x4 decking spaced 1 1/2" apart for an extra strong floor that breaths well to better dry wood out. It is built directly on top of the treated wood skids to simplify construction and keep costs down.
Walls: There are no walls on the 4x8 firewood shed but it can be enclosed if you wish.
Door: There are no doors on this model of shed.
Roof: The roof is framed using 2x4's rafters and 1x4 purlins holding corrugated sheet metal. The roof is flat.
Roofing: Ribbed metal roofing.
