The 5x7 Generator Enclosure shed plans include:
- Dimensions - 5'x7' on the exterior. The interior dimensions are 6'-5" long x 4'-5" wide. The lower ceiling side is 4'-3 1/2". The peak of the roof is higher. It was designed for a generator that is 48" long, 32 inches wide and 40 inches high.
- Doors - Plans are included for two door sizes, either a double door or single door.
- Side Door Option - Plans are included for the single door to be built on the end wall or the double doors to be built on the longer walls.
Optional Door Configurations
5x7 Generator Enclosure Shed Floor Plans
5x7 Generator Enclosure Shed Plans Include The Following:
- Foundation: Wood skid, or the skids can be left off and it can be built on a concrete slab.
- Floor = 2x4 floor boards with 1/2" gap between them for ventilation.
- Walls = 2x4 framing at 16" on center
- Door = Uses our sandwich construction door for strength.
- Roof: The roof is framed using 2x4's to build rafters
- Roof Overhang:3" on the eves and 3" gable ends. The fascia is made using a 2x6 with a 2x4 on top of it. This is a simple to build overhang that looks great.
- Roofing = 25 year asphalt shingles or metal roofing. Because of the low slop it is recommended to use the roofing manufacturers installation method for low slope roofs.
- Siding = T1-11 siding or similar.
- Trim = 1x4 wood, masonite or cement trim materials.
- Roof Pitch: 2/12, this means that for every 2 inches of rise there is 12 inches of run horizontally.
