22x36 2 car garage barn shed.

The garage foundation and slab floor was set up and poured by a local sub concrete contractor. The garage door header walls is seen in the foreground.

The concrete slab provides the perfect working surface to frame the garage walls.

O.S.B. panels are installed on the framed walls to strengthen the walls and provide a base for the siding.

The roof trusses are set on the walls. Note the gable end trusses are different. The vertical members allow for the easy installation of wall sheeting.

The door header spans the door opening. When the walls on either side of the doorway are 4' or larger there is not a need for the header to span from corner to corner.

House wrap paper is installed over the O.S.B. and then sheet siding is installed as a wall finish.

Fascia boards are installed on the truss tails and then the fascia and trim is painted with primer to seal the wood.

Paint is installed on the garage.

Roof shingles are installed on the roof after the fascia is painted.

Garage foundation walls poured. The owner said "These are the Simpson straps for the front portal wall as called out in the plans. The building inspector was impressed. On the east cost here our footings and frost walls go down 42 inches minimum."

This is the garage concrete slab freshly poured and finished.

The garage is attached to the existing house. So the vinyl siding needs to be removed befor building the garage walls.

The front wall of the garage has a continuous LVL header that goes from one end of the garage door to the other. This helps it comply with the "portal" framing prescriptive building code.

The roof trusses are made in a truss factory and delivered to the site. THey are set on the garage walls at 24" on center.
