This firewood storage shed plan was built in Gainsville Virginia to season firewood and keep it ready for burning. Boy Scout Eagle projects are intended give a boy the chance to plan a project and then show leadership by leading other volunteers to complete it. The firewood storage shed plan is designed with a roof that slopes mostly to the back side of the shed. This allows most of the water and or snow to run off the back of the shed. The large opening on the front of the shed allows easy access to the firewood and also allow plenty of airflow through the wood pile. The floor boards that hold the firewood are spaced 1 inch apart to allow cool air to flow up from below the shed, through the firewood and out the front door. This helps to season the fire wood and keep it ready for burning.
Our included How To Build a Shed instructions show you how to build this style of firewood shed but these guys did not need much instruction.
