Our simple urban chicken coop is the perfect way to get into chickens without spending $200 to $500 on the coop and run. We invented a new way to build a chicken coop that uses only two sheets of plywood or O.S.B. and 8 carabiners and paint. It houses two large chickens comfortably or three smaller chickens.
The innovative snap together design allows the chicken coop to be easily transported or stored. The plans come printed on full sized paper. To build the coop you simply cut out the paper plan shapes and tape them to the plywood, trace around the edges and then cut out the shapes. Once the shapes are cut out they are attached to each other using the mortise hole on one side of the connection and the tenon shape that slides into the hole on the other.
