I was driving to California recently and I saw this great shed, so I stopped and got a few pictures. The shed is detailed with all kinds of things relating to fishing. The best part about it is that it is built around a regular lean to shed. There was a little extra work to put the 45 on the door corner but besides that they just ran the decorative walls up past the roof line of the shed behind the facade.

If you are thinking of doing a themed shed to use as a play house or you simply want to get creative with your storage shed the things you can do are only limited by your imagination. But with the internet you will probably be able to get some great ideas. The biggest block to over come is to remember that you can think outside the box. The shape of the shed does not need to control your design. These are the steps to creating your theme shed design.
- Decide on your theme
- Sketch up your ideas
- Figure out how to put the facade you have designed onto your shed either by adding framing or simply attaching ornament. Or both.
- Build your design.
Remember that you can frame outside the bounds of the walls of the shed just like the shed above. You can frame higher and you can frame out from the front of the shed to make the walls thicker or to add depth to windows or doors. Let your imagination go and get creative, turn your garden shed into a beautiful themed addition to your yard.
