Using subway tiles on the walls and continuing around the backsplash.

I found this great house today that had a different tile backsplash in every bathroom. It has quite a few bathrooms and a laundry room. It was so fun to see the different themes in each bathroom that I have to share. The first bathroom backsplash shown above is done with white subway tiles from the floor to 6′-6″ where it is trimmed with a bright yellow pencil tile that matches a octagon yellow tile in the floor tiles. The floor tiles… I’ll just show you.

Most often the tile used for the backsplash is also the tile used for the tub surround. Then the floor tile is a different tile. These tile backsplash ideas are really diverse to be in the same house but it is also refreshing to not have the same thing in every bathroom. Tile backsplashes are a great accent to set off the sink area and at the same time they are very functional because they help keep the area around the sink clean by creating a washable surface directly on the wall behind the sink.
