The 12x12 corner storage shed plans include:

7'-7" or 8'-1" wall height - The 7'-7" wall height allows a pre-hung factory built door to go on any wall and reduces the amount of siding and labor needed to build the shed. The 8'-1" wall height lets you use 92-5/8" framing studs just like a home.

Factory or Home Built Doors - Using a pre hung door makes the door building and hanging job much easier. The shed plans also include door plans if you prefer to build your own doors.

3 Foundations - Treated Wood Skid, Concrete Slab and Poured Concrete.

12x12 Corner Shed Plans Include The Following:

• Materials List: Use the included materials list to get pricing and to simplify the ordering of materials.
• 3 Foundations: 4x6 Wood skid, Concrete slab, Treated wood floor over gravel base.
• Floor: 2x8 floor joists with 3/4" floor sheathing.
• Walls Framing: 2x4 framing at 16" on center with a double top plate, just like a home is framed.
• Wall Height: The shed wall height is 7'-7". This wall height will accomodate the door that is outlined in the shed plans and a pre-built, pre-hung factory built door.
• Doors: Factory Built doors on pre hung jamb. Plans are included for home built doors.
• Siding: T1-11 siding or similar 4'x8' wood or cement panel siding is specified but you can use any siding you like.
• Roof: 2X6 Stick framed roof. Sheeted with 7/16" O.S.B. Plans show
• NOTE: Due to the complicated nature of "stick framing" a hip roof system, the 5 sided shed roof is one of the most difficult roof styles to build. It is recommended that the builder be ready for a fun challenge or hire out the roof framing to an experienced framing carpenter. There will be mistakes made which will require additional 2x6 boards to be purchased to replace rafter boards that are cut incorrrectly.

This image is the roof framing plan. There are also cut lengths for each rafter.

Roof Pitch: 6/12 on the 4 side and rear roofs. Steeper on the front roof.

Roof Overhang: 6" on the sides and 4" on the front and back.

Roofing: 25 year asphalt shingles

Trim: 1x4 wood, masonite or cement trim materials are used to finish the corners, roof eves and facia.

Floor Load: 50 pounds per square foot for framed floors. This is the same floor load rating used in building homes.

Roof Snow Load: 40 pounds per square foot. This is more than adequate for most areas. If you live in an area with a high snow load you should check with your local building department for your local snow load. Contact us and we can specify stronger roof framing.
