Covered Porch - The covered porch is 4' by 12'. The interior of the shed is 12x16
7'-7" and 8'-1" wall height - The 7'-7" wall height allows for easier framing of walls and reduces siding joints. The 8'-1" wall height lets you use 92-5/8" framing studs just like a home is framed.
Flooring - The interior floor is 3/4" O.S.B. sheeting. The shed porch uses 2x6 boards like a deck.
2 Foundations - Skid and concrete slab.
Options: The porch can be built with or without the handrail.
Foundation: There are 2 different foundations included in the plans; 6x6 Wood skid or Concrete slab.
Floor: 2x6 floor joists at 16" on center with 3/4" floor sheathing or 2x6 Treated lumber.
Walls: 2x4 framing at 16" on center with a double top plate and O.S.B. sheeting, just like a home is framed.
Door: The side utility door is 6' wide and 6'-8" tall. The front door is 3' x 6'-8" tall. The plans come with plans for home made doors or you can purchase pre hung doors.
Window: The 1620 windows are a common vinyl framed single hung window.
Roof: The roof is framed using 2x4's to build rafter trusses. The pitch is 6/12.
Roofing: The shed roofing is 25 year asphalt shingles.
Siding: T1-11 plywood siding is specified but this can be changed to use most common sidings like vinyl or cement board siding..
Trim: 1x6 wood, masonite or cement trim materials are used to finish the roof eves and facia. Corner, door and window trims vary depending on siding type used.
